Franklin County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm whether someone is in custody, confirm a release, post bond, or pull an official booking record. Contact the agency that keeps the record when an answer or document is needed.
Where Franklin County Records Live
The official sheriff and detention contact page is the best place to confirm the agency route. For jail custody, booking records, or an intake photograph, use the Franklin County Sheriff's Office and its records unit.

Choose the custodian by question
Franklin County has no official public roster or complete same-day booking feed located in the reviewed system. The right office depends on whether the question concerns jail status, the case outcome, a different custody system, or the dispatch record.
- Current jail custody or a county booking request: contact the Franklin County Sheriff's Office and ask about the Detention Center route and the Open Records process.
- Disposition after booking: use the Franklin County court-dockets route and the Clerk of Superior and Juvenile Courts. The Georgia Courts e-access directory identifies the applicable court search path.
- Sentenced state custody: use the Georgia Department of Corrections offender search. It is not a Franklin County Jail roster.
- Federal or immigration custody: use the Bureau of Prisons locator or the ICE detainee locator when that custody type is relevant.
- 911 or CAD material: send that request to Franklin County 911/Central Communications, 7011 Highway 145, Carnesville, 706-384-7118. FCSO says it does not hold those recordings or CAD reports.
Open Records costs
FCSO publishes a specific cost structure for an Open Records request. These amounts describe labor and reproduction, not a promise that a requested record exists or will be released.
| Item | Published charge |
|---|---|
| First 15 minutes of Open Records work | Free |
| Additional labor | Lowest-qualified-employee rate |
| Black-and-white letter or legal copies | $0.10 per page |
| Other media | Actual reproduction cost |
Other sheriff FAQ charges
The sheriff FAQ lists the following report and application charges. None of these is a booking-photo fee.
| Service | Published charge |
|---|---|
| Accident report | $5 |
| Incident report | $5 |
| Incident report picked up in person | Free |
| Criminal-history check | $25 |
| Expungement application | $25 |
For a booking sheet or intake photograph, ask FCSO for the current response process and any estimate before work begins. The county says it will notify a requester within three business days whether responsive records exist, whether they are subject to release, and, when needed, when they may be available. That is an initial response notice, not a guaranteed delivery date.
